Arts Academy of Latvia Professor Creates Sculpture Honouring COVID-19 Medics
Sculptor Aigars Bikse's latest work was unveiled on Tuesday 16 June at the Latvian National Art Museum. The six-metre tall statue depiciting a masked female medical worker with eyes closed and arms outstretched is dedicated to medics in Latvia and around the world, praising their selfless courage and care during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Bikse is a professor at the Arts Academy of Latvia
. The academy is an ELIA member.
